Stunning.

​

That is the best way to describe Shania Twain's concert at Quicken Loans Arena on Saturday night.

​

Not only is the fifty-two year old physically stunning, but the entire show from the lighting, to the stage production, to the dancing, the musicianship and yes, even the singing was top notch.

 

It's been fifteen years since the Canadian-born songstress graced a Cleveland stage, but she more than made up for it with her nearly two-hour set.

​

Twain made a surprising entrance to the stage by first walking down the steps of one of the aisles toward the back of the arena and walking up the floor to the main stage, all the while slapping hands and saying hello to fans along the way.

​

Relying heavily on her multi-platinum selling album Come On Over and her most recent release Now during her 21-song set, Twain did however play songs from every aspect from her career.

​

At one point, there was even a video montage of some of her hits that she wasn't going to be playing live that night, but it served as a reminder just how many hits she has had in her career.  She also took advantage of that time to make one of her several costume changes.

​

From the pop-country sounds of "That Don't Impress Me Much" to the more traditional country hits like "Any Man Of Mine" and "Who's Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?" Twain and her amazing band performed them flawlessly.  

​

Midway through the show, Twain was seated on open guitar case that proceed to take her across the arena to a smaller stage at the end of the floor while she sang "Soldier."  While there, she said she wanted to make the next song, "You're Still The One" a sing-a-long and the nearly sold-out crowd happily obliged.

​

Instead of "flying" back to the main stage, she decided to walk back once again slapping hands and saying hello to fans.  This time, a fan asked if he could carry her long train back to the stage and she agreed.

​

This fan walked all the way on stage with her where she thanked him and suggested they take a picture together.  It was a very genuine moment which endeared her even more to her fans.  

​

She brought out her opening act, Bastian Baker to help her sing "Party For Two" and he stayed out there for "Swinging With My Eyes Closed."

​

Twain returned to the stage to encore with two of her biggest hits, "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" and "Rock This Country!" leaving the audience wanting more.

​

A stunning show indeed.

​

Bastian Baker, a Swiss singer-songwriter opened the show with a nice set of original tunes as well as a great cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."
