Steel Panther Roars Into HOB

Steel Panther, a glam band that started as a goof on '80s metal hair bands which then morphed into a full-blown phenomenon, will play the House of Blues on Tuesday, December 12th.

The quartet, whose lyrics are sometimes (well, almost all the time) sexually suggestive,  hail from southern California.  Initially touring as Metal Shop, the outfit started picking up steam and eventually changed their name to Steel Panther after a quick go as Metal Skool.

Drummer Stix Zadinia, born Darren Leader; bassist Lexxi Foxx, whose mother christened him Travis Haley; axeman Satchel, whose driver's license says Russ Parrish; vocalist Michael Starr, real name Ralph Saenz all tour extensively supporting their studio recordings.  Among their albums are Balls Out and Lower the Bar, perhaps not exactly, uh, raising the metal bar but the group has accumulated quite a following over the last fifteen years. Look for their brand of rock and roll to grace the main stage at HOB this week.  Doors are at 7:00.
