Brit Alt-Rockers Wolf Alice To Play The Beachland

March 27th, 2018

Wolf Alice, an alternative four-piece rock band that hails from London, will hit the Beachland Ballroom on Tuesday, April 3rd. Frontwoman Ellie Rowsell formed the indie outfit back in 2010, and since then they've supported larger bands like Queens of the Stone Age and The 1975. Best described as a unique fusion of rocky pop, grunge, and indie electric rock with the female vocalist creating strong meaningful lyrics and harmonies about contemporary youth culture, this band is one to keep your peripheral peepers on in the coming months.

With their following in the UK, the young band members donate to causes and urge young people to help out refugees, remarking how it important it is to be compassionate for other human beings.

Their hit song, “Moaning Lisa Smile” has quite a following, who compare them to classic ‘90s acts like Nirvana. Many of their tunes have been featured in TV shows (Arrow), movies (T2: Trainspotting), and video games (Life is Strange). "Moaning Lisa Smile" peaked at #9 on the Billboard Alt charts during the summer of 2015 and was nominated for a Grammy for "Best Rock Performance" at the 2016 Grammy awards.

Wolf Alice plays with The Big Pink at the Beachland Ballroom on Tuesday April 3rd.

Tickets are $20 at the door and you can advance order tickets online for $18 here.
