Killer Queen
Brought The Sights And Sound Of Queen To MGM

April 9, 2022

Killer Queen, an excellent Queen tribute band from England, made their return to MGM's Center Stage after a three year absence.

If you are a fan of Queen, this is the band you want to see.  Not only do they have the look and mannerisms of each band member down pat, but they also are spot on musically!

The band kicked off the show with a raucous version of "One Vision" which segued into "I Want It All."

The stage production of this band is also first rate.  Outstanding lights, smoke blasts, and a platform at the back of the stage with stairs on either side is something you would expect to see from a headlining rock band.

Patrick Myers, the man who fronts the band, not only has the appearance and voice of Freddie Mercury, but he also plays the piano and guitar as well.

All of the Queen hits you want to hear were played. "Under Pressure," "Your My Best Friend," "Fat Bottom Girls" and of course "Killer Queen" were all flawlessly performed.

"Somebody To Love" and "Radio Ga Ga" ended the first set.

The band returned to play "Bohemian Rhapsody" which became a great sing-a-long for everyone in attendance.

Freddie, I mean Patrick, then returned to the stage with a crown and cape to finish out the set with "We Will Rock You" and "We Are The Champions."

Killer Queen is by far the best tribute band that I have ever seen.  Everything about this group is top notch.  If you've never seen Queen, or if you have and want to relive those memories, check out Killer Queen the next time they come to town.
