KC & The Sunshine Band brought a 1970s disco party to MGM's Center Stage last night to a nearly sold-out crowd.

Everyone was on their feet and boogieing once Harry Wayne Casey took the stage and performed back to back bangers "(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty" and "Boogie Shoes."

Casey noted early on that the entire band is live and nothing is prerecorded. It really does make a difference when you have a live four piece horn section. It adds to the fun when they are up and dancing around while playing.

That can be said for the entire Sunshine Band which includes two keyboardists, a percussionist, drummer, guitarist, bassist, back up singers and backup dancers.

Casey then took some time to tell some stories and a few jokes. Referencing how we have all gotten older and his noticeable weight gain. He did say he has lost thirty pounds and he is happy with himself.

The seventy-five year old proceeded to dance and twirl around the stage like a man half his age. He also changed outfits several times throughout the concert.

The only negative thing I can say about this show is that they extended some songs way too long and do we really need a drum solo in 2026?

Other than that, it was hit after hit including "I'm Your Boogie Man," "Keep It Coming Love," and "Rock Your Baby" the latter Casey wrote for George McCrae which was his first #1 hit.

The band also played a medley of '70s hits that included "Give It Up," "Brick House," and "Shake Your Body (Down To The Ground)."

The main set ended with two of his biggest hits "That's The Way (I Like It)" and "Get Down Tonight."
It was a fun and entertaining night with the soundtrack provided by one of the best artists from the Disco era.
