Punk Rock was alive and well last night at The Beachland Ballroom. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame drummer and last surviving member of The Ramones, Marky Ramone plowed through all of The Ramones hits and a few covers to a packed audience.

The crowd started chanting "Hey, Ho, Let's Go!" minutes before the house lights even dimmed. The crowd had their fists in the air, head-banged, sang and some even slam-danced their way through the entire set.

When the band took the stage, it was an immediate barrage of songs played in rapid fire succession. The only time there was a pause was when the singer counted off, "One, two, three, four!" or when Marky had to tighten his high-hat after beating the hell out of it for a few consecutive songs.

Of course all the hits were played like "Sheena Is A Punk Rocker," "Teenage Lobotomy," "I Wanna Be Sedated," and "Rock and Roll High School." A few covers were also played for good measure as "Do You Wanna Dance" and "Surfin' Bird."

The fans were thrilled to sing, or shout "Hey, Ho, Let's Go!" to the show closing "Blitzkrieg Bop" fulfilling their punk rock dreams.

Cleveland's own punk rock band Whatever opened the show with a great set of punk rock originals.
