Newport Music Hall July 18

Southern rock favorites Blackberry Smoke will bring their Rattle, Ramble and Roll Tour 2026 to Newport Music Hall in Columbus on July 18, delivering the band's trademark blend of blues, country, hard rock and soulful songwriting. Led by vocalist and guitarist Charlie Starr, the Atlanta-based group has spent more than two decades building one of the most devoted fan bases in modern roots rock thanks to standout albums like The Whippoorwill, Holding All the Roses and You Hear Georgia. Fans can expect a set packed with favorites including "One Horse Town," "Waiting for the Thunder," "Pretty Little Lie," "Ain't Much Left of Me" and "Good One Comin' On," along with selections from the band's latest material. The intimate setting of Newport Music Hall should make for an unforgettable evening of high-energy performances and heartfelt musicianship.

Opening the show is a special guest with serious rock credentials: Jason Newsted and The Chophouse Band. Best known for his years as bassist with Metallica, Newsted has turned his attention to a rootsy, Americana-inspired project that showcases his talents as a singer, guitarist and songwriter. Rather than revisiting thrash metal classics, The Chophouse Band blends original music with blues, Southern rock and classic American influences, making them a fitting complement to Blackberry Smoke's sound. With two veteran acts sharing the stage, concertgoers can expect an evening that celebrates authentic musicianship, powerful storytelling and the enduring spirit of American rock.
