Wilson Phillips, the trio of women who made their mark in the '90s with three number one hits and selling over ten million albums, made a stop at MGM's Center Stage for a trip down memory lane.

The group came out singing acapella, which delighted the fans in attendance.  However, the rest of the night the trio were backed by tracks played on a computer.  Don't get me wrong, their voices were live and sounded fantastic, but not having live musicians on stage really took away from their performance.

Chyna Phillips, daughter of Michelle and John Phillips of the Mama's and the Papa's, noted that she and Carney Wilson, daughter of Brian Wilson from the Beach Boys, have been friends longer than Carnie and Wendy, who are sisters.  Phillips said, "that's fivty-seven years of friendship right there."

Kicking off the show with "The Dream is Still Alive" from their debut album the trio proved that their voices were in fine form.

Several other hits were played like "You're In Love" and "Impulsive" however the group also played quite a few cover songs.   Chyna Phillips quipped, "we only had five hits, so we have the fill the time up with something!"

The ladies paid tribute to their late fathers, first by playing "California Dreamin'" by the Mama's and the Papa's followed up by "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys.  Before the latter, Carnie Wilson noted that it had been a very tough week because they just buried their father earlier in the week and dedicated that song to him.

There was a lot of banter from the ladies between songs, bringing up memories and ancedotes about certain songs.  At one point Chyna pointed out that her husband of almost thirty years, Billy Baldwin was in the audience as well.

A medley of covers by women rockers took up the middle of the set which included: "We Got The Beat," "Walk Like An Egyptian," "Wannabe," "Waterfalls" and "Hazy Shade of Winter."

The show ended with two more hits, "You Won't See Me Cry" and the number on smash, "Hold On."

As the group left the stage, they noted that they had a really good time and promised to return.
