If you grew up in the '80s and '90s, you could not escape the sounds of New Edition, Boyz II Men and Toni Braxton. They were all over the airwaves and MTV. That's not even mentioning their side solo projects or groups like Ralph Tresvant, Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill or Bell Biv DeVoe.

Rocket Arena was the place to be Sunday night as all three acts took to the stage for an R&B/hip hop extravaganza.

Unlike most concerts, there was no opening act, middle act and headliner. New Edition hit the stage first and went into "We Going Out Tonight" in the middle of the song, Toni Braxton rose from the middle of the stage to sing her part of the song and then Boyz II Men rose from the end of the stage that went out into the audience to sing their part of the tune.

That's how it went the entire night. New Edition would play a couple of songs, complete with dance moves, then Boyz II Men would play a couple of songs, then Toni Braxton would do the same. Of course, each solo artist got their individual time in the spotlight on their solo tunes as did Bell Biv DeVoe.

In all, an incredible forty songs were played in the three hour plus concert!

Pretty much everything you would want to hear from these icons from the '80s and '90s made the setlist.

A very cool thing about this concert was there was a live band providing the music all night long. However, they were not on stage. Rather, they were situated on the floor, stage right. This allowed for dancers to strut their stuff and people seated behind the stage to get a better view of each artist.

Everyone seemed to be in great spirits and it looked like all were having a great time. The audience certainly showed their appreciation all night long by singing and dancing along with each act.

The energy, the vibe and the memories these songs brought back will surely make this concert one of the best ones of the year.
