It's been almost 40 years since Peter Hook last played in Cleveland. He along with New Order played at Blossom Music Center on their Technique tour in 1989.

Hook will be formally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in November along with the rest of New Order and Joy Division.
​
Last night Hook and his new band, The Light played all of New Order's album Get Ready in it's entirety for the first set and then played a variety of Joy Division and New Order songs for the second set.
​
It was interesting to see two bassists on stage at the same time. It seemed that Hook only played when he wasn't singing. The other bassist, Jack Bates who happens to be Hook's son, plays while his father sings and they often will play the same parts together.
​
Hook addressed the audience late in the first set. Well, it really wasn't an address to the audience but rather it was directly to a person in the front who was asking for his guitar pick. He said, "I only have three picks in my pocket, any more than that is bad luck. I've already broken one and you ain't fucking getting it!"

After a fifteen minute intermission, the band returned to play a selection of Joy Division songs, which Hook dedicated to Ian Curtis.

New Order tunes returned to the end of the set which got everybody up and moving. "The Perfect Kiss," "Bizarre Love Triangle," "True Faith" and the best selling 12 inch single in history, "Blue Moday."
​
The band closed this epic show with Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart."
