Returned Home
To NE Ohio Celebrating 50 Years

August 2, 2026

The Cleveland based R&B/funk outfit, The Dazz Band made a stop at Northfield Parks' Racino's Center Stage on their 50th Anniversary Tour. As an added surprise for the hometown crowd, original lead singer, Sinnie "Skip" Martin made a one off appearance with the band to help with the celebration.

Decked out in matching red suits, The Dazz Band took the stage both looking and sounding sharp.

The band played songs like "Party Right Here," "Swoop (I'm Yours)" and the #9 hit song "Joystick" early in the set. Everyone on stage got the chance to have an extended jam including Martin who held an incredible long note on his trumpet.

The guys were having a great time on stage and Martin recalled playing sold out shows at the old Front Row Theater.

Other tunes that made the setlist included "Knock! Knock!," "You Are My Starship" and "Anticipation."

However, it was "Let It Whip" that got everyone up off of their seats and dancing in the aisle.

It was a great way to celebrate 50 years of R&B and funk!
