Australian electronic-pop duo Empire of the Sun will bring their dazzling blend of synth-pop, dance music and theatrical spectacle to Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls on Friday, Aug. 21. The show is part of the Ask That God: Afterlife North American Tour, supporting the duo’s 2024 album Ask That God. Led by Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore, Empire of the Sun have built a reputation for concerts that are as visually extravagant as they are musically infectious, combining elaborate costumes, futuristic imagery and colorful production with their atmospheric sound.

Fans can expect a set that reaches across the duo’s career, including such signature songs as “Walking on a Dream,” “We Are the People,” “Alive,” “High and Low” and “DNA.” Tracks from Ask That God, including “Changes” and “Music on the Radio,” should add a newer dimension to the performance. With their combination of dreamy electronic textures, huge pop hooks and an almost otherworldly stage presentation, Empire of the Sun’s Blossom appearance promises to be more than a typical concert—it’s an immersive audiovisual experience designed to transport the audience somewhere far beyond Northeast Ohio for an evening.
