L7 Set To
Play The
Globe Iron

Punk rock pioneers L7 are bringing their uncompromising sound and rebellious spirit to the Globe Iron in Cleveland, giving fans a chance to experience one of the most influential bands to emerge from the alternative rock explosion of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Formed in Los Angeles in 1985, the all-female quartet built a reputation for its combination of heavy guitar riffs, punk attitude and sharp, often irreverent songwriting. Fronted by Donita Sparks and Suzi Gardner, alongside bassist Jennifer Finch and drummer Dee Plakas, L7 became a defining force in the grunge and alternative rock scenes. Their 1992 breakthrough album, Bricks Are Heavy, produced by Butch Vig, delivered the underground favorite “Pretend We're Dead,” which became one of the band's signature songs and helped introduce their music to a much wider audience.

Concertgoers can expect a hard-hitting performance that celebrates L7's enduring catalog and the unapologetic attitude that has kept the band relevant across generations.  After the tragic passing of bassist Jennifer Finch, former bassist Janis Tanaka will be stepping in for this tour.  Other fan favorites that have become staples of the group's legacy include “Shitlist,” “Wargasm,” “Andres” and “Fast and Frightening,” songs that showcase the band's ability to balance crushing riffs with biting humor and confrontational lyrics. Known for their energetic live shows and refusal to conform to expectations, L7 continue to represent the independent spirit of alternative rock, delivering music that remains as fierce and relevant as ever. Their Cleveland appearance at the Globe Iron on October 27 promises an evening of loud guitars, punk-rock intensity and a reminder of why L7 remain trailblazers in a genre they helped shape.
