Sting brought his 3.0 Tour to Akron's EJ Thomas hall for two nights of incredible music that included his time in The Police as well as his prolific solo career.  He mad a strong case to be the next solo artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after getting in as a member of a band.  Just like Phil Collins who is getting inducted this year.

Kicking off the show with The Police's "Message In A Bottle," many fans were taken back to the early '80s.

Sting would continue to sprinkle in six more Police songs throughout his set, but he really focused on his solo material which can stand on it's own.

Songs like "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You," "We'll Be Together" and "Desert Rose" are absolute bangers.

Sting addressed the sold-out Akron crowd by saying "Akron, it's been awhile.  I haven't been here since 1999 when I was 12.  Akron, the home of Devo, Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders, LeBron James, Alcoholics Anonymous and you!"

He went on, "I grew up in a city like this, very industrial.  But now I have a small house in the English country side.  Well, it's a castle."  He described that he has barley fields around the castle and in the fall, it looks like fields of gold, and that's how he wrote that song.

Sting still has an incredible voice and you would never know that the man is 75.  He also was accompanied by outstanding musicians that included his long time guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Mass from Mumford and Sons.

"Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic," "Driven To Tears" and "Wrapped Around Your Finger" had long time fans of The Police singing along and dancing in their seats.

Closing out the main set was The Police's biggest single and only number one in America "Every Breath You Take."

A standing ovation made Sting return to the stage to play "Roxanne" and "Fragile."

It was an extraordinary performance by a legendary performer.
