GCS
Supergroup
Playing The
Kent Stage

The GCS supergroup brings three extraordinary musicians together for an evening of world-class musicianship when Eric Gales, Dennis Chambers and Billy Sheehan take the stage at The Kent Stage on Wednesday, November 11. Featuring three performers with impressive musical résumés, GCS promises an explosive combination of blues, rock, funk, jazz fusion and soul. Guitarist and vocalist Eric Gales, a two-time Grammy nominee, has earned a reputation as one of the most exciting guitarists in contemporary blues and rock. His fiery playing and distinctive upside-down guitar technique have earned him comparisons to some of the greatest blues-rock guitarists, while his collaborations have included Carlos Santana, Buddy Guy and Joe Bonamassa.

The rhythm section is equally impressive, featuring drummer Dennis Chambers, a member of the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame who has performed with Parliament/Funkadelic, Santana and John Scofield, and bassist Billy Sheehan, widely recognized for his work with David Lee Roth, Steve Vai and Mr. Big. Sheehan's innovative playing combines powerful grooves with lightning-fast solos and intricate techniques, making him one of rock's most influential bassists. With three musicians who are accustomed to taking center stage, audiences can expect extended instrumental passages, blistering guitar work, powerful rhythms and plenty of spontaneous improvisation. GCS is an opportunity to see three musical virtuosos share one stage, pushing the boundaries between blues, hard rock and jazz fusion.
